Jane Brophy
Jane Brophy is a local person that has lived in Timperley for over 20 years and has family on the Broomwood, Timperley. She was educated at Sandilands Primary School, Brooklands, and Chorlton High School, Manchester. Jane is a Biochemistry graduate of the University of Leeds, a qualified NHS Allied Health Professional and is currently studying for a Masters in Public Health Nutrition. Married to John, with two children at a Timperley Primary School and one at Altrincham College of Arts, Green Lane, Timperley.
Jane served as a Trafford Councillor in Village Ward over six years. In 2008 Jane was elected as a Timperley Ward Councillor.
She has been active in politics since 1985 and has worked for the Liberal Democrat MPs in the House Of Commons, Westminster. She has also worked as Research Manager and Nutritionist for The Vegetarian Society (UK) in Altrincham, as Chief Officer for South Manchester Community Health Council and as a Health Promotion Advisor for Salford and Trafford Health Authority.
